Shedding Light or Casting Shadows?
In the winter, after the leaves have shed, there is a moment, when the sun shines against the branches, and the beginnings of new buds shimmer in the dew, a place where hope is born!
I am seeking hope in shedding!
I am seeking light to shine on my branches and to reveal the vitality that still exists in what seemed to be dormant. My branches are extended wide. They reach up and out. They seek the light. They also hug myself in places, in protection, in shyness, in fear. They cast shadows of grief emerging, denial lifted, tears yet unshed, and stories of exhaustion from the winter's wind dance.
I aim to explore shedding.
And so, I will.
